SC State Guard’s Salute to Veterans ceremony at the graveside of Francis Marion

Nov 7  South Carolina State Guard, with Berkeley County 250 (Chris Volf), Berkeley County Museum (Shanda Phillips) and Keith Gourdin have an annual Salute to Veterans ceremony honoring the heroes of the SC State Guard, Saturday, event at the graveside of Francis Marion, Pineville at 11 AM.

Francis Marion Symposium, The 24th: Oct 16-17, 2026

The prime topic area’s focus is on Marion, explanations of the engagements, the war in South Carolina, the Southern Campaigns, “The Times of Francis Marion, 1732-1795”. Gen. Francis Marion played a major role in the American Revolution.  Many of these engagements took place in the Clarendon County area.
